Product Items and Plan Usage

Use GetVoiceBot product items to define what a customer plan includes and how consumption is measured.

A product item is a measurable GetVoiceBot capability that can be included in a plan, limited, or used for
supported overage billing. The available catalog can evolve as models, providers, and product
capabilities change.

Use the current product catalog in GetVoiceBot as the source of truth. Do not hard-code a product-item ID
from an old document or another reseller's plan.

Common product-item categories

The current catalog can include categories such as:

The exact item ID, unit, availability, and billing behavior come from the catalog returned for the
owning account.

Understand the unit

A product item may be recurring or usage-based. Its unit can represent an Agent, number, minute,
message, token, character, or another capability-specific quantity.

Before adding an item to a customer plan, confirm:

Do not assume two similarly named items measure the same route or provider.

Build a customer plan

  1. Open the reseller or partner Plans area.
  2. Create or select the plan.
  3. Add only product items supported by the current catalog.
  4. Define included quantities and customer pricing.
  5. Connect the matching provider product and price when customer billing is enabled.
  6. Test representative usage and confirm it appears under the expected item.
  7. Verify the customer-facing plan before making it available.

Change a live plan carefully

A plan change can affect future subscriptions, existing customers, access, and overage billing.
Review which customers are attached, how the billing provider handles the change, and whether the
new item requires a feature or channel that is not yet configured.

Keep product consumption separate from business results. Use
reporting and metrics to measure outcomes.

Integrations can read the current catalog with the
Product Catalog API.
